Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 26, of Harris County, Texas (the “District”) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, created by order of the Texas Water Rights Commission, predecessor to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (the “TCEQ”) on August 22, 1972, and operates pursuant to Chapters 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code, as amended. The District consists of approximately 1,357 acres of land. The District is located approximately 22 miles north of the central downtown business district of the City of Houston and two miles northwest of the City of Humble, Texas. The District lies within the exclusive extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston and wholly within the boundaries of Aldine Independent School District. Access to the District is provided by Interstate Highway 45 or U.S. Highway 59 north to Farm-to-Market Road 1960
