The District was created by order of the Texas Water Commission, predecessor to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (the “Commission”), dated November 1, 1983. The District contains approximately 595 acres of land located in the northeast portion of Fort Bend County approximately 25 miles from downtown Houston, Texas. The District is located approximately four miles west of State Highway 6 and is bounded on the north by the West Park Tollway and on the east by FM 1464. The District lies entirely within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston.
